MELTDOWN CHAIR: PP SHEET    

Meltdown Chair: PP Sheet is created by heating and pressing a seat-shaped former into a bundle of crumpled polypropylene sheets. The sheets begin to liquify as they come into contact with the heated former, then set in the shape of the seat as it cools, creating a contrast in form and texture to the remaining sheets. A light source set inside the chair illuminates the semi-opaque polypropylene sheeting, revealing otherwise hidden textures, patterns and shadows.

This is one of a limited edition of 12 and forms part of a series of chairs created using the same technique with different materials.
