MELTDOWN CHAIR: PE PINK   

Meltdown Chair: PE Pink is made by pressing a heated metal chair-shaped former into a knotted mass of pink polyethylene sheeting. The plastic begins to melt as it comes into contact with the heated former, then sets in the shape of the seat as it cools. The remaining plastic is heated and sculpted into solid twisting forms, creating a contrast in form and texture to the melted seat.

This is one of a limited edition of 12 and forms part of a series of chairs created using the same technique with different materials.
