Cast Light
These sculptural lighting pieces are made from solidified light.
A light bulb was placed in a 3D scanning device. When switched on, the scanner was able to detect a halo of light emanating from the bulb. These scans were converted into 3D computer models and then produced using digital manufacturing technology.
