CARBON VOID JADE

Carbon Void Blue is a study of the intersections of positive and negative geometry. The shapes are derived from simple cuboids that subtract from or add to each other depending on how they align and overlap.

Light brings an additional dimension to the composition, as do the opposing qualities of the materials. The dense blackness of the carbon absorbs light and allows only a superficial reading of the structure. By contrast, the resin allows light to pass through, refracting as it enters - illuminating otherwise hidden volumes and voids.
